The calm after a storm

So in my last post I was off to my graduation at the University of Kent, after that I went quiet on social media, why you ask? Well, one word....EXAMS.
I had my first three finals exams in January; International Trade Law; Media &Entertainment Law and; Employment Law. I will not say how I think they went just in case I jinx my luck, all I will say is that International Trade law was probably the worst exam paper I have ever seen....far worse than the Physiology and Anatomy at my first University! I think I am suffering from exam ptsd! Haha!

Finally, everything seems to be calming down on the University front, I have started my new subjects; Intellectual Property Law and; Company law. If I am honest, Company Law is not much better than International Trade Law...oh well, just need to work a little harder for it, but hooray to IP Law for keeping my sanity.
Anyone who knows me will understand my passion for IP Law, it is a very interesting topic and a big plus is that our coursework involves a lot of practical studies. I have been partnered up with another lovely law student and together we have been given 4 clients (Sci-tech students) between us. Our first challenge is to create an Inquiry Form for our clients to gain relevant information to then give a presentation to them all and show the different avenues they may go down with their inventions. Then finally we must create an advice letter for all of our clients individually....I feel there is going to be an unhealthy amount of coffee involved with this assignment.
In between my studies I have also found a website to help further my knowledge on other random subjects that interest me, I am currently doing a course on Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism and the rule of law .The website is www.edx.org an is great in respect that you can do any course for free at your own pace and it is continuously updated with new stuff, however if you want a certificate there is a small charge usually around the region of £30, so it is worthwhile!
I have also signed up for a CPD course in the summer; HR & Recruitment Consultant (Level 3). This is another area which interests me outside of law so I thought, why not, It is always good to expand your knowledge in areas outside your expertise!
Looking at everything that is going on in my life academically, I obviously need some time to escape, my mechanism of coping is by constantly stalking Chow Chow accounts on Instagram and sharing them with my girlfriend and my other Chow Chow lover friend! I am looking forward to having 3 weeks off in April to go home and see my three dogs and horses! There is nothing better than a cuddle with an animal for stress relief.
Talk Soon!
PEACE x
